OutSend and Resend
Resend built the best developer experience in transactional email and earned the audience it has. The reasons to choose OutSend are specific, and they are not about polish.
Genuinely excellent developer experience
The API shape, the docs, and React Email set a standard the rest of the category has been reacting to ever since. If DX is your deciding factor, they are a good answer.
Managed dedicated IPs
Worth saying plainly, because competitors sometimes imply otherwise: Resend ships managed dedicated IPs. If you have seen a comparison claiming they do not, it is out of date.
A large and active community
More integrations, more example code, and more people who have already hit your problem. That is a real advantage and we are not going to pretend it is not.
The core is open source and self-hostable
You can read exactly how sending, suppression, and reputation scoring work, run the whole thing on your own infrastructure, and leave whenever you like. The exit is a documented path rather than a promise.
Events keep the provider's raw payload
We store the receiving provider's original response alongside our normalised version, so you can see the actual SMTP code and reason rather than our summary of it.
No venture capital
No acquisition clock and no quarter where reliability loses to a growth number. This is a structural difference, not a moral one.
Published measurement methodology
Our definitions for acceptance, deferral, placement, and latency are published before any numbers are, so you can judge the method independently of the result.
If open source, self-hosting, raw event evidence, or the funding structure matter to you, we are worth a trial. If they do not, Resend is a good product and staying put is a reasonable decision.
We do not publish competitor pricing tables. Prices change, our table would go stale, and a stale number on a site arguing that claims should be checkable would be the worst possible own goal. Compare our pricing against Resend's directly.
